Coaching is not therapy - coaching requires a greater level of emotional resilience than counselling does and is future focussed.

What is coaching?

Coaching is an intervention that creates a facilitated space in which you can plan and work towards desires for the future. It is goal orientated and has a greater emphasis on the 'here and now' and the future.

Coaching requires a focus to set the direction and drive to get there.

There are some cross-overs between coaching and mentoring, but as a rule mentoring requires a mentor to need to have had similar experiences so that they can guide the mentee away from pitfalls and towards the things they need to know about and be able to do.

Unlike mentoring, where you are approaching someone who is already a subject matter expert in the field you want to be involved in for guidance on how to emulate their approach, coaching offers objective guidance on how you can unlock and reach your full potential. I am here as you accountability partner on that journey.

The approach I use in coaching sees the client as the expert on themself. We look at what skills you already have, what skills would be beneficial for you to improve, how to raise your competence levels and how to move towards your desired results. We revisit what you already know. I help you to be accountable to yourself and to others so that you can make those decisions and take those action-steps. We work at your own pace.

I am here to facilitate you on your journey, to collaboratively design strategies and action steps with you, bringing forward momentum and evaluation of progress and new learnings into our work but ultimately you are responsible for the outcome you get.

What can it do for me?

Coaching helps you to not get caught up and put off by your internal negative dialogue and inner critical voice, nagging self-doubts, imposter syndrome or trying to gain praise from someone who is unlikely to give it.

Coaching helps you to be clear about what is important to you and how best to focus your energy and efforts you get the results you want and need. It bridges the gap between where you are now and where you want to be.

What is more, it helps you to identify choices that you didn't even realise you had.

What to expect

In some respects coaching isn't easy. It can be challenging but you get out what you put in. During coaching I am your collaborative partner for creating the lasting change you want in your life. I am here as a source of support and encouragement but also accountability.

I work with you to identify achievable plans and after establishing possibilities, your options and solutions, set them into action. I also work with you to enable you to identify where the pressures you may feel are actually coming from and help you to achieve peak performance.

I work with you to establish an empowered state of mind and help you to become and stay inspired, confident and motivated. We will measure the strength of your motivation and any things that may hold you back, including things you may be doing yourself and what you may gain from doing these things.

Nobody said you had to work to achieve your dreams alone.
You may even surprise yourself over what is possible now.

Are you ready to take control of your future?
