I have studied the following:

Hypnotherapy (Accredited: Association of Natural Medicine)

Current thinking identifies that the mind has two parts, the conscious and the subconscious. Hypnosis is a trance state with a focus on one thing to the exclusion of all others. Hypnotherapy works by bypassing the conscious mind and accessing the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is very powerful, and is susceptible to suggestion.

Hypnotherapy is not brain-washing or mind control, for suggestions are assessed and disagreeable suggestions will be rejected and not acted upon. Clients can, through suggestions given to the subconscious mind, change their behaviours and attitudes, overcome phobias and the things that hold themselves back and even learn to control pain.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (Accredited: Society of NLP)

NLP is an understanding of how we code our life experiences and give them meaning. By understanding this, we can use strategies and techniques to create change in our behaviour and results, to help us maximise our potential. NLP is also concerned with language syntax and how specific words are processed in different ways. More and more people are realising the value of NLP in enabling them to become more effective in their chosen field. NLP techniques and models are now being used in a diverse range of areas including education, business and human resources, sport, personal development and health.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a form of alternative psychotherapy that uses tapping on acupuncture points while a patient focuses on a specific traumatic memory. This is said to manipulate an energy field practitioners associate with the human body. It is used to help to take the energy out of troubling thoughts and memories.

Indian Head Massage (Accredited: Federation of Holistic Therapists)

Indian head massage is based on the ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. The aim of Indian head massage is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders.

Reiki Master (Usui Teate)

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation, promoting healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen "universal life force" energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force" energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, our well being is enhanced and we can recover from ailments e.g. colds quicker.
